EARLY HISTORY OF COASTLINE SHOW CHORUS
The Coastline Show Chorus, formerly the Mount Hope Bay Chorus, was founded by three friends closely involved with barbershop singing. What began as a small group of 11 women in Warren, R.I., has blossomed into a chorus of 90+ members, including women from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Maine. |
In 2003, the chorus became known as Coastline Show Chorus. The group competes annually in 23 other choruses and was awarded Regional First Place Medals, with the highest score ever achieved in the North Atlantic Region One. Coastline then represented Region One at the 2003 International Competition in Phoenix - the first chorus from Rhode Island ever to compete on the International stage! |
