What's in store when you visit a Coastline open rehearsal? You'll learn vocal techniques with women just like yourself in New England's premier a cappella show chorus.
The first time you visit Coastline, a representative from the Music Team will work with you to determine the appropriate voice part for you. You will be placed on the risers near someone with the same voice part and you'll be provided with the music for our repertoire. You'll love getting started right away!
If you like what you hear and want to move ahead with the audition process, you will receive the sheet music and accompanying learning CD for a specific audition song. Music Team members will be available to help you with this process and answer any questions you might have. In preparation for your audition, your name and information is reviewed by the Management Team.
On your second and third visit to Coastline, members of the Music Team will conduct a "practice audition" where you will sing your voice part along with the learning CD. A member of the Music Team will provide you with feedback. After two to three weeks of practice, you will be invited to complete the audition process by singing with the learning CD while members of our Music Team listen and observe.
Once you pass your audition, the Music and Management Teams review your application as a prospective member in Coastline Show Chorus and in Sweet Adelines International.
When you become a member, you will be assigned a "riser buddy" who will help you with everything there is to know about Coastline and the Sweet Adelines International organization.
